Itinerary

Day 1,Arrival Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu, the destination of your trip, you will be met at the airport then transferred to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy your own free time for the rest of the day.Chengdu is the capital city of Sichuan Province. With a population of 11 million, it is an important commercial transportation, and communications hub of south-western China. The locals have a reputation for a laid back attitude and knowing how to enjoy life. Historically, Chengdu has a special place in the annals of finance.

Day 2,Chengdu
Today have a city tour covering Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Thatched Cottage of Dufu, Wuhou Temple. Optional Hot Pot in Sichuan Style and Sichuan Opera are available tonight if you are willing take a try.Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda BreedingChengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is the world-famous Panda breeding research located about 10km (6 miles) out of the city. This institution replicates the natural habitat of the giant panda and is dedicated to preserving and increasing their population. Visitors are able to hold lovely pandas and be photographed with them.
Thatched Cottage of Dufu is a beautiful garden and museum to honor Du Fu, one of the greatest Chinese poets of all times. Along with Li Po, he is frequently called the greatest of the Chinese poets. Located in the southern suburb of Chengdu, Wuhou Temple was first built in 265 during the Western Jin Dynasty in memory of Zhuge Liang, prime minister in charge of the Kingdom of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280). It is the largest museum of the site left over from the Three Kingdoms Period, and a very quiet oasis in the city.
Sichuan Opera is staged in a local tea house, so during the show you may enjoy tea and snacks. There are folk music, opera, solo music, some comedy, amazing acrobatics, shadow puppets, intriguing face changing and spectacular fire eating. You’ll be enthused by colorful costumes, sounds of traditional music and charmed by the shadow play.

Day 3,Chengdu-Kangding
Today, take about 6hours driving to Kangding, a place famous for its love songs. Stay overnight there.overnight in xinduqiao

Day 4,Kangdi-Litang
Kading Tagong MonasteryKangding, the capital of Garzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, as a former outpost on the trade route to Tibet, is a fairly large town tucked within a river valley.Continue your driving to Litang through Xinduqiao and Yanjiang. Stay overnight at Litang.
Spend another 5 hours driving for this 300km journey, you will reach Litang, which is a county in the southwest of the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan. Litang Town itself is located at an altitude of 4,014 meters and surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Being about 400 meters higher than Lhasa, Litang is one of the highest towns in the world.

Day 5,Litang-Daocheng-Yading
Driving from Litang to Daocheng will take approximately 4 hours with 180km to roll, and the trip from Daocheng to Yading (60km) will take about 3 hours. Stay overnight in hotel in Yading Natural Reserve.
landscape in YadingYading is a National Reserve locates in the southwest of Sichuan. Unknown to the outside world until the late 1990s, it is a mountain sanctuary and major pilgrimage site. It is home to three sacred Tibetan mountains: Chenresig (Avalokitesvara, 6,032m ), Jambeyang, and Chanadorje (Vajrapani, 5,958m ). These three mountains represent compassion, wisdom and energy which are the attributes one should cultivate on the path to enlightenment. Tibetan believes that making a Kora (pilgrimage) around these mountains brings great merit.

Day 6,Yading
Today’s activity - hiking & visiting trip in Yading will be the greatest of the whole journey. Stay overnight in Yading.
Have hiking or horse-ride along the wooden pathway to see the spectacular Mt. Chanadorje. Piles of Mani stones and the stunning vista can be seen along the way. We’ll also visit a small Tibetan temple named Tshonggo Gonpa (Chonggusi), which Joseph Rock nicknamed ’Bandit Monastery.’ Continue the hiking to the foot of Mt Chenresig, where we’ll ascend a small but steep hill to view a beautiful mountaintop emerald green lake. Local lore has it that this magical lake can reveal the future if people spend a few moments in quiet contemplation by its side. Return to the meadow at the foot of Mt. Chanadorje and spend the night in tent.

Day 7,Daocheng-Shangri-la
Be transferred to Shangri-la via Xiangcheng and enjoy the scenic plateau view on the way. That’s, today, you will enter Yannun Province.landscape in Shangri-laThe distance between is 290km, which will take about 5 hours. Have a good rest at Shangri-La for tomorrow’s sightseeing.
Shangri-la is a primarily Tibetan county in northwestern Yunnan and the capital of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The county was formerly called Zhongdian but in 2001 was renamed after the fictional land of Shangri-La, from the James Hilton novel Lost Horizon. With many miles of beautiful vistas to discover, this region offers unique hiking and horse trekking opportunities to those who make the journey down to Northern Yunnan. At an altitude of 3,200 meters, Shangri-La is the start point of the Tibetan world in Northern Yunnan. The small town once was the frontier trading post on the doorstep of Tibet.

Day 8,Shangri-la
Spend your full-day trip to Songzanlin Lamasery and Potatso National Park and indulge yourselves in this ’Lost Paradise.
Potatso National Park Not far from Shangri-la, Songzanlin Lamasery is the largest Tibetan Buddhist lamasery in Yunnan, and one of the 13 large lamaseries in the joint area of Tibet, Yunnan and Sichuan. Constructed in 1679, it took about three years to complete. Built against the mountain with a magnificent appearance, Songzanlin is a faithful imitation of the Potala Palace in Lhasa Tibet. The most famous treasures in the lamasery are the eight gold-covered sculptures of Sakyamuni, bronze sculptures, the Ganzur scriptures hand-written in liquid gold, gold lamps, and many exquisite gilded silver incense burners.As China’s first national park, Potatso National Park is located 22km away from Shangri-La and consists of two lakes- Shudu hu and Bita hai, the distance between these two lakes takes about half an hour’s driving by green van.

Day 9,Shangri-la-Kunming
Take a morning flight to Yunnan’s capital city-Kunming. Feel at leisure for the rest of the day.
Kunming is the capital city of Yunnan in southwest China. Located in the middle of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau just north of the Tropic of Cancer, at an altitude of 1,900 meters above the sea level, Kunming enjoys a year-round temperate climate and is often called the ’Spring City.

Day 10,Departure Kunming
Bidding a fond farewell to Kunming, be transferred to the airport for the flight to your next stop,end the tour.
